What are the benefits of attending our retreats?
Our retreats provide a safe and nourishing environment for the cultivation and development of a deep and grounded meditation and mindfulness practice far from the distractions of daily life. With a highly trained, experienced teacher and meditation instructor, you receive excellent support and guidance in group settings, as well as in one-on-one time with the teacher. Longer meditation periods allow participants to develop discipline of the mind and body, as well as more focused concentration.
Is there any dialog between the teacher and the participants?
Yes. Every day, the teacher will open the discussion to participants for questions. There will also be scheduled times for one on one discussions with the teacher.
How long is one sitting meditation?
Most sitting meditations last from 15 to 30 minutes.
Are the meditations guided?
At the beginning, meditations may be guided. As the retreat progresses, guidance may decrease.
What if sitting on a meditation cushion is too difficult or painful for me?
Participants are encouraged to practice meditation in a position that feels comfortable and works best for them, whether sitting in a chair, or on a meditation cushion.
